Saturday evening between the afternoon and night airshows, the Zeppelin came out to "strut its stuff" in front of the crowd:

Kent Pietsch at Oshkosh

Here's a shot of Kent Pietsch taxing in after his performance with the tail of the Jelly Belly Interstate Cadet up in the air. He seems to be having a good time!

Just before going to Oshkosh I got a new ultra-wide-angle lens (a Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6 DC HSM).
I spent a couple of evenings wandering around the flight-line exploring the new perspective of a 108° field-of-view.

This is one of the more successful shots I got as I am learning to look at things very differently:

Right now there are only a few photos in the album, but I will be adding more as I work through my collection of photos.

Wide-Angle Cirrus at Morey Airport

I just bought a Sigma 8-16mm wide-angle lens for my crop-sensor Canon bodies. After a couple of days of cloudy gray weather things cleared up and I got out to my favorite local airport in Middleton (WI) and took some shots of the parked planes. Here is one of a Cirrus. There is also an album with a couple more shots in it.

I'm really looking forward to trying it out on the planes at the AirVenture Cup race in Dayton next weekend, and AirVenture the following week.
